What

The work to live within our planetary boundaries and fix the disconnect between people and planet has gone by many names over the years:

- Alternative

- Sustainable

- Regenerative

We Make Good speaks to all three.

Starting with a fundamental question; How can we take broken systems - of the built environment, of the nutrition and providence of our food, of social cohesion - and repair them, make them fit for purpose, make them good?

We start with innovative thinking.

Identify the elements that work, remove the things that don’t. Fix the rest.

We borrow from Permaculture, the circular economy, anthropology, natural building, social enterprise.

We take skill and dedication and creativity and turn it to our purpose, which is to make things better; across all sectors, for all people.

How

Why

We take a deeply granular approach to project investigation and genesis. Remove assumptions and apply our knowledge and highly skilled network of collaborators to each new project, so that it can meet expectations while treading a truly sustainable and regenerative path.

Be that a business, a product, a farm, a community group, or a building.

We can provide fresh insight, innovative ideas, technology, and systems.

At a very basic level, humans need three things:

+ Food

+ Shelter

+ connection

We believe that these three basic human needs are connected, or that they should be.

The fact that in our modern western world there are vast disconnects at play is evident in the level of dysfunction we either witness or experience directly - food poverty, malnutrition, cost of living, inadequate housing, climate change, depression, anxiety, conflict. All rooted in the fact that these needs are not being met.

We Make Good is part of the answer. Democratising access to land, to good food, to accomodation. Closing loops, building community, resilience, and sustainability.
